OBJECTIVES OF THE FOUNDATION:
The annual prize «For Peace and Human Rights» was established in 2023 by the international charitable foundation named after Polish soldier Emil Chechko.
The award is given to those who have achieved outstanding results in the protection of human rights
around the world.
The award consists of a monetary reward, a diploma and a statuette.
The prize is awarded to those who have made a significant contribution to the protection of human rights.
The laureate should receive public recognition for his achievements in human rights work, as well as his work should be important to society.
People who work in the field of human rights protection and are engaged in this activity on the territory of UN member states can be nominated for the award.
RULES FOR APPLYING FOR PARTICIPATION IN THE GRANT PROGRAM "SUPPORT FOR PEACE AND JUSTICE" OF THE CHECHKO FOUNDATION
General Provisions:
The Chechko Foundation grant program is aimed at supporting projects that correspond to the mission and priorities of the foundation (in the equivalent of 30,000 USD). Applications can be submitted by individual authors, groups, non-profit organizations and research institutes.
Participation Criteria:
Applicants must submit a project corresponding to the subject of the current grant competition. Projects must be implemented within one calendar year. Each applicant has the right to submit only one application within one competitive period.
The composition of the Application:
A detailed description of the project, including goals, objectives, implementation methods and expected results (up to 5000 characters). The project budget with a detailed cost justification. Summary of key project performers (up to 2 pages per performer). Confirmation of the availability of necessary resources (for example, letters of support, cooperation agreements).
The Order of Submission:
Applications are accepted exclusively via the Chechko Foundation's e-mail.
All applications and documents must be downloaded in PDF format.
The Review Process:
All applications are pre-checked for compliance with formal criteria. The jury, consisting of experts in the relevant fields, evaluates applications according to the criteria of innovation, sustainability, budget realism and potential social impact. The decision on the results of the competition will be published on the Foundation's website.
Obligations of Grantees:
Signing of the grant agreement within 10 working days after notification of the grant award.
Compliance with the terms and conditions stipulated in the agreement. Quarterly reporting on the progress of the project and expenses. The final report on the project within 30 days after the completion of the project.
